First-ever Blockchain Conference in North Korea

Some source told Radio Free Asia (RFA), as reported in Yonhap, that North Korea is ready to show off its technological potential in the blockchain industry

Pyongyang, North Korea, is said to be ready to hold its first-ever blockchain conference on October, 1st. The two-day event will be allegedly attended by industry experts. After the conference, the experts are supposed to hold a dialogue with local business officials.

The isolated country has tried its hands in blockchain and cryptocurrency. Last year, it has tried to mine Bitcoin, but according to the Korea Development Bank (KDB), the mining attempt might have resulted in failure.
