Red Belly Blockchain Experiment Prove Successful

Australia’s CSIRO or Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization and the University of Sydney conducted a successful real-world test on Red Belly Blockchain

The Red Belly Blockchain is unlike existing blockchain technologies. It resolves difficulties linked to energy efficiency, the trouble of double-spending, and the problem with throughput. It is developed on a distinctive algorithm that tenders results without a need to up energy consumption.

A massive scale experiment was conducted that affirmed Red Belly Blockchain’s claims of speed, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. The trial was done on the cloud facility of Amazon Web Services (AWS). The span of the trail ranged from eighteen territories in the continents of Asia Pacific, Europe, and North and South America.

In the experiment, a thousand of AWS virtual machines utilized this blockchain. The testing process included sending 30,000 transactions per second from the above mentioned. The results showed a three-second delay with 1,000 replicas. Whereas, a typical blockchain can only process 7 (Bitcoin) to 20 (Ethereum) transactions per second. This experiment demonstrated the scalability of Red Belly Blockchain making it optimal for more real-time transactions.

In the past, a trial was conducted in a single Availability Zone where the outcome showed a throughput of 660,000 transactions per second on 300 machines. This was said to have produced results faster than that of Visa.
