Thai SEC Gives Temporary Approval to Seven Cryptocurrency Firms

Seven firms, consisting of five crypto exchanges and two dealers, have been granted temporary approval to operate until their applications are either approved or denied.

The application of seven Thai firms dealing with cryptocurrency has been given interim approval by the local SEC. These firms are now green lighted to continue operations until final words from the regulators are given. The regulators will assess the applications and decide whether any of these companies can continue conducting business.

Thai SEC Secretary-General, Mr. Sucharitakul, stressed that putting money in cryptocurrency involves high risks and those who are looking into investing should first inquire whether the cryptocurrency dealer or exchange is a legal entity in the country.

The firms given temporary approval are:

  • Bitcoin Co. Ltd.
  • Bitkub Online Co. Ltd.
  • Cash2coins Co. Ltd.
  • Satang Corporation
  • Coin Asset
  • Coins TH Co. Ltd.
  • Digital Coin Limited
